When talking about The Perch, we can't not start with our Mascot! The entire server is themed after the Founder's lovebird, Mac! She's a peach-faced lovebird, and you'll see her colours and influence all throughout the server. Below is a picture of her.

ORIGINS

The Perch, initially known as The Nest was started with one goal in mind: creating a safe space for anyone to play on, without any real-world politics or drama. In order to achieve this, we believe transparency is key. Our entire server is built around the community, and ensuring they know what's going on behind the scenes. Our staff guide (located on our home page) is publicly accessible, all bans given out are logged in our Discord and we have various ways of collecting feedback! We do this through suggestions, tickets and anonymous feedback forms which are published every few months.

OUR TEAM

Our team is built up only of volunteers, of which none take money out of the server. All funds are put towards the project! Along with that, we run two fund-raisers a year. One during June (Pride) and one during December! Below is one of our beloved team members, Dypel.

When it comes to game-play, whilst being a public server, we try to keep the base-game intact. At the same time, we excel at introducing tasteful and polished additions whilst maintaining balance and keeping experience as our first priority. On The Perch, you will not receive cookie-cutter gameplay with pre-made plugins and configuration files purchased on the internet. Instead, a lot of additions to our server are custom-coded and perfectly tailored to our wants and needs. You can even view our custom work on our Github!
